Recognition that everyone no matter what their ability or disability may be deserves opportunity to live life to the full is what International Disabilities Awareness Day is all about.  This day encourages the world to promote awareness and education through various activities such as exhibitions, sports, arts, music and many other activities. These events will give access to adults and children with disabilities. Businesses and professionals from many backgrounds will work together to support and promote services, and products to assist independent living.

This awareness day started in 1991 and has now become an international movement. By raising awareness and sharing information with activities for disabled people and carers they feel empowered as they learn about innovations, new tools and services which may help them even more.

At IMD Solicitors we believe in promoting empowerment to help create equal access and opportunity for people with disabilities.
