Barbara Bitis

Barbara specialises in family law and is a trained Collaborative Lawyer and Resolution Accredited Specialist in both Complex High Net Worth Financial matters (cases involving substantial assets) and Private Children work. She is committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes.

Barbara deals with a wide variety of family law matters, including divorce and separation; civil partnerships; cohabitation; prenuptial agreements; financial settlement, including TOLATA cases and a range of children issues, including complex cross jurisdictional relocation matters, applications for inherent jurisdiction of the High Court and appeals under Lugano convention.

She has significant experience in dealing with complex financial proceedings, many of which often have international aspect including dealing with complex assets structures, international asset-tracing, financial non-disclosure, cases involving third parties and overseas property, both residential and commercial.

She contributes articles to the British Polish Chambers of Commerce, the press, including The Times, as well as property investment guidebooks.

Barbara frequently represents the clients from around the world and is fluent in Polish. She continuously supports the Polish community in the UK and has been nominated for the Polish Choice of the Year Award 2017.

Privately, she is a martial arts, sports and photography enthusiast and enjoys travelling and going for long walks with her dog.
