Ewelina Hilton

Ewelina is a Paralegal at IMD Solicitors, working within the firm’s Private Wealth department. She assists clients with a broad range of private client matters, including Wills, probate, estate administration and cross-border estates.

Ewelina is committed to delivering a compassionate, practical and client-focused service. She understands that private client matters often arise during difficult periods in a client’s life and strives to provide clear guidance and support throughout the process. Her background in client and customer service enables her to build strong relationships with clients while ensuring their best interests remain at the forefront of every matter.

Ewelina completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Law at the University of Law and is currently progressing towards qualification as a Solicitor.

Fluent in both Polish and English, Ewelina regularly assists Polish-speaking clients, ensuring they receive clear legal advice in their preferred language. She has extensive experience in drafting Wills, advising on estate planning, and assisting executors and personal representatives with applications for Grants of Representation and the administration of estates in England and Wales.

Ewelina also has experience assisting with complex cross-border estate administrations involving assets and beneficiaries in multiple jurisdictions.

Outside of work, Ewelina enjoys walking with her companion, Uzi, spending time in nature, and reading crime and suspense novels, particularly those by Harlan Coben. She has also recently developed a keen interest in exploring Chinese culture.

Notable cases:

  • Assisting with a complex cross-border estate involving assets in multiple jurisdictions and issues concerning an unborn beneficiary.
  • Assisting in the administration of an estate involving leasehold property with a lease approaching expiry, requiring careful consideration of the impact on the estate and the options available to the personal representatives.
  • Assisting in the administration of related estates where the deceased were mother and daughter, involving properties, one of which had sustained significant fire damage, with the executor residing overseas.
  • Assisting in a probate matter involving a modest estate and an ambiguously drafted Will, requiring careful legal analysis to determine the deceased’s intentions.
