IMD Solicitors LLP and IMD Corporate have made six key appointments in 2024 to strengthen leadership and enhance service offerings in family law, wills and probate, personal injury, commercial dispute resolution, corporate and commercial law, and corporate immigration.

New Leadership Appointments

Several professionals have taken on leadership roles, bringing experience across different areas of law. James Legg, now Partner in Family Law, continues working on financial disputes, private children cases, and legal protection orders. His role also covers international cases and matters related to digital assets. With a background in resolving disputes between separating couples and navigating complex financial settlements, James supports clients in securing arrangements that meet their long-term interests. His expertise also extends to advising on cohabitation issues and the implications of modern financial structures on family law cases.

Nicholas Paszek has stepped into the position of Partner in Commercial Dispute Resolution, handling contractual disagreements, shareholder issues, and professional negligence cases. His work spans individual clients and multinational businesses. With experience in dispute resolution strategies, Nicholas has represented clients in mediation, arbitration, and litigation, ensuring that legal conflicts are addressed efficiently. His focus includes assisting companies in risk management and navigating contractual complexities that can arise in commercial relationships.

Jarmila Entezari has joined as Senior Associate in corporate immigration, advising on work-related visas, sponsor licences, and legal compliance for companies managing overseas employees. Her role includes assisting businesses in obtaining necessary documentation for international hires and ensuring compliance with immigration regulations. She has worked with organisations across industries, helping them understand the legal framework for managing foreign talent while maintaining compliance with UK laws. Additionally, she provides guidance on complex nationality and citizenship matters.

Rezwana Dithy supports private clients in wills, probate, and estate planning, assisting with legal and financial matters concerning inheritance tax and international assets. Her work involves drafting wills, advising on estate structures, and guiding families through the probate process. With experience in estate planning for individuals with assets in multiple jurisdictions, she helps clients make informed decisions about wealth management and inheritance arrangements. Her role ensures that individuals receive legal protection for their financial interests during their lifetime and for future generations.

Roy Parmar contributes to personal injury services, representing clients involved in workplace incidents, public liability claims, and road traffic accidents. With experience managing serious injury cases, including those involving long-term rehabilitation needs, he supports individuals in securing necessary compensation and access to medical care. His work includes handling claims related to employer negligence, public safety concerns, and the broader impact of personal injuries on clients’ lives. Paula Piquer Ruz, who joined in December 2024, focuses on international family law, providing legal assistance to Spanish clients in England and Wales. Her work covers nuptial agreements, financial settlements across jurisdictions, and legal issues involving international child custody and relocation. She has experience dealing with legal frameworks governing international divorce, cross-border financial settlements, and jurisdictional disputes. Her work often involves complex negotiations to resolve matters where legal systems in different countries may conflict, ensuring that clients receive representation that aligns with their needs.
